# Downloads

> Change download location, control save prompts, and open the downloads history page in Strawberry.

Open download settings at `strawberry://settings/downloads`.

## Change download location

1. Open `strawberry://settings/downloads`.
2. Open **Download location**.
3. Click **Change** to choose a folder.
4. Click **Reset** to return to the default Downloads folder.

## Ask where to save each file

1. Open `strawberry://settings/downloads`.
2. Toggle **Ask where to save each file before downloading**.

When enabled, Strawberry shows a save dialog for each download from web tabs.

Agent-controlled downloads keep the streamlined behavior and may bypass save-location prompts.

## View download history

Click **View downloads** or open `strawberry://downloads`.

Use the downloads page to review and manage downloaded files.

## Tips

* If you delegate download-heavy work to a companion, choose a folder that is easy to find later.
* For generated reports or artifacts, use the file preview and share controls in chat when available.
* If a file appears missing, check both the configured download folder and the chat or session files where the companion worked.
