macOS permissions not taking effect

After granting microphone or screen and system audio access, restart Strawberry from strawberry://settings/transcription. macOS permission changes often do not apply to already-running apps.

Remote meeting audio missing

On macOS, system audio capture requires screen and system audio permission. Enable it, then restart Strawberry. On Windows, system audio capture works without additional permissions.

Poor accuracy

Try:
  • Add spoken languages instead of relying on auto-detect.
  • Add preferred terms for names, brands, acronyms, and jargon.
  • Switch from Bluetooth headset microphones to the built-in microphone.
  • Use Test levels to verify input.
  • Adjust noise thresholds in Advanced settings.

Cannot reach transcription servers

Transcription requires internet access. Check network connectivity, VPN rules, and firewall restrictions.

Meeting toast not appearing

Check:
  • Scheduled meeting notifications are enabled.
  • Auto-detected meeting notifications are enabled.
  • Google Calendar is connected for scheduled reminders.
  • The meeting URL belongs to Google Meet, Zoom, or Microsoft Teams.
