Profiles let you separate browsing contexts. A profile can have its own color, browsing data, workspace, and appearance settings. Built-in app connections are shared across profiles signed into the same Strawberry account.

Browser profiles

Open strawberry://settings/profiles. You can:
  1. Rename the current profile.
  2. Change the profile color.
  3. Switch profiles.
  4. Create a new profile.
  5. Import from another browser.
Use separate profiles when you want clear boundaries between work, personal browsing, testing, or different companies. During onboarding, select Why do this? for an optional explanation of what Strawberry imports. Close it with Got it, then select Continue to start importing the selected browser profile. Your original browser is unchanged.

Your onboarding companion

A new setup starts with a random companion. It stays with you through sign-in and naming unless you accept a different companion or edit its appearance. An interrupted setup restores its saved companion. Shared access adds another companion without replacing your personal one. When a received companion cannot load, use Try again or Continue with me. A temporary failure does not discard the invitation. If the profile changed, use Review again before accepting it.

Theme and UI

Open strawberry://settings/theme. You can:
  • Choose Dark mode, Light mode, or System.
  • Set the profile color.
  • Toggle Show color as tab background.
  • Choose Classic for tabs across the top or Modern for tabs in a sidebar.
  • Toggle Auto Picture-in-Picture for YouTube to control whether a playing YouTube video moves into a floating mini player when you switch tabs.

Search engine

Open strawberry://settings/search-engine. Select your preferred search engine and click Set as default.

Default browser

Open strawberry://settings/default-browser. Click Make default if you want links from other apps to open in Strawberry.

Manage saved browser passwords on the Passwords page. Access to protected passwords may require your computer’s authentication.
