Strawberry can transcribe your voice in chat and record meetings. Configure it at strawberry://settings/transcription.

Why record meetings

Meeting transcripts help companions:
  • Draft follow-up emails
  • Book meetings
  • Update CRMs
  • Create summaries
  • Recall past decisions
  • Use meeting context in future work

The record button

The microphone button in chat works as both dictation and meeting recording. Short recordings become text in your chat input. Recordings longer than about one minute are treated as meeting transcripts.

Online meetings

Strawberry can record online meetings on Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. Recording can start from:
  • Auto-detected meeting URL toasts
  • Scheduled meeting notifications from Google Calendar
  • The chat input record button

In-person meetings

Open a new tab and click the record button in the chat input. Strawberry captures microphone audio and transcribes the conversation.

During a recording

A floating pill widget shows audio level bars and controls. Hover to reveal pause and stop. Drag the widget to reposition it.

First-time setup

macOS:
  1. Enable microphone access.
  2. Enable screen and system audio access for remote participants.
  3. Restart Strawberry after permission changes.
Windows:
  1. Enable microphone access.
  2. System audio capture works without extra permissions.

Settings

At strawberry://settings/transcription, configure:
  • Microphone
  • Spoken languages
  • Preferred terms
  • Scheduled meeting notifications
  • Auto-detected meeting notifications
  • Advanced noise thresholds
  • Level tests

Where transcripts appear

Open strawberry://knowledge/transcriptions to browse saved transcriptions. For a specific companion, open companion settings and click Transcripts in the General tab. This opens Files -> Your workspace -> transcripts.
